Are You Comparing Prices with Other Vendors?
Here's a suggestion for those comparing prices with other vendors.
Have You Considered Cycle Cost Based on Lifespan?
Before simply comparing prices, please consider this: the lifespan value for your money. No matter how cheap something is, if its lifespan is short, you won't get your money's worth.
Our shop has a strong craftsman mentality. We admit we can be particular (yes, we know! (laugh)), but we're far from the "profit above all" mindset. That's why we have a clear policy: "This is something we must not cut corners on," no matter the cost.
At our shop, we've prepared high-durability, long-lasting fabrics according to customer needs. We've also developed sewing techniques to maximize lifespan.
Hadatai Lifespan Factors
| Lifespan Issue | Our Approach |
|---|---|
| Pilling occurs | High-durability fabric available by customer request |
| Fabric becomes fuzzy | High-durability fabric available by customer request |
| Fabric thins after repeated washing | High-durability fabric available by customer request |
| Chest cleavage seam comes undone | Double stitching |
| Thread at zipper base comes undone/tears | Hand-sewn with reinforced stitching |
| Crotch thread comes undone/tears | Pattern calculation ensures adequate fabric area |
| Thread comes undone/tears at other areas | Reinforced with 4-thread overlock sewing |
These measures are based on customer feedback from 2007 to the present.
Actual Replacement Timing
Our customers typically reorder approximately every 3-4 years. Of course, this varies greatly depending on fabric and usage - some customers order every 1-2 years. The wear rate differs significantly between studio photography, events, and other environments. Some customers also order different hadatai for different colors. While replacement timing varies by usage, reordering the same hadatai typically occurs around 3-4 years based on our experience. *Please note that this is based on our experience and does not constitute a guarantee of 3-4 years.
Summary
If you're comparing prices, we recommend also considering cycle cost (lifespan × unit price).
Of course, the optimal choice varies depending on your budget and intended use. If you have any questions, please contact us.
